| Since the beginning of the 20th century,
Chinese painting has gradually lost the vitality.
Based on traditional Chinese painting, a group
of painters with revolutionary spirit absorbed
skills from folk art tradition to set up a new
style of painting. Others promoted Chinese
painting by learning Western painting skills.
They attempted to explore a new style by means
of mixing Chinese and Western skills in
composition, design and color. |
