In the painting, the female entertainers, old musician and young maid stand in the courtyard holding a variety of musical instruments. They are all dressed in typical clothing of the Southern Song, which vividly reflects the socio-cultural life of the period. Paintings themed with singing and dancing female entertainers are rarely seen in the figure paintings of the Southern Song dynasty. This work enjoys a very high historical and artistic value.
