Hua Zuli (active in the 14^th century) is known by his zi (designated name) Tangqing, with his native place unknown. He specialized in painting figures. This is his only surviving work. This painting portrays Laozi and his disciples: Yin Xi, Wenzi (Xin Xing), Geng Sangchu, Nan Rongchu, Yinwen, Shi Chengqi, Cui Qu, Bai Ju, Liezi (Lie Yukou) and Zhuangzi (Zhuang Zhou). Wu Bing wrote their biographies in the third year (1326) of the Taiding era.
