Ye Xin, also known by his zi (designated name) Rongmu, was a native of Huating (now part of Shanghai). Active during the Shunzhi and Kangxi reigns, he lived in Jinling (present-day Nanjing, Jiangsu Province) and became one of the "Eight Masters of Jinling". His landscapes were renowned for their delicate and subtle qualities, contributing to the diversity of the Jinling painting scene. This album primarily depicts spring and summer scenes, evoking a tranquil and ethereal atmosphere. It was once part of the collection of Wang Qiumei, a prominent Shanghai industrialist.
