Mei Qing (1624-1697), also known by his zi (designated name) Yuangong and his hao (literary name) Qushan, was a native of Xuancheng in Anhui province. Skilled in landscape painting, he mostly depicted the landscape of the Yellow Mountain and sometimes pine tree and plum blossom. In this album, he applied colours and thin brushstrokes in the paintings that present 19 views of the Yellow Mountain, such as the Hegai Pine, the One-hundred-step Staircase, the Lotus Peak, and the Wu Lao Peak. The artist painted the painting at the age of 70 in the 32nd year (1693) of the Kangxi reign.
