Zhao Puchu wrote this work in 1969 to celebrate the 20th birthday of the People's Republic of China. It extolled the remarkable achievement of PRC, and expressed a full confidence in China's rise in the global community. The golden-cloud patterned, red rice paper was used to convey a happy and harmonious mood in the work, and the calligraphy features sage-like quality and good brushwork strength. The scroll is considered a best work of his middle age when he was sixty-three.
