The Ye-County Brush Factory lied in Laizhou, Shandong province, and brushes produced by this factory had been used by many Chinese celebrities, among whom was Guo Huaruo, a prominent CPC lieutenant general. Zhao Puchu wrote this poem to commend the Ye-county brushes and General Guo's calligraphy during his visit to the factory in 1982. The work exhibits a heroic and weighty style. Zhao was seventy-six years old at the time.
