Zhao Puchu copied this sutra in 1998 for the Institute of Buddhist Culture of China. Written in regular script, this calligraphic work features a mixed style combining maturity with youngness, and is manifested in lively brushwork and well-balanced construction of characters. Although the characters look more or less angled, they stand firm and stable. Wet brushwork alternates with dry ones, with youthful expressions popping up inadvertently. Zhao created this work at the age of ninety-two when he served as the honorary director of the Institute of Buddhist Culture of China.
