Description

Zhao Puchu wrote this couplet motto to admonish himself for how to behave towards others. The first version of the couplet was written in 1980 and was included in the album Couplets Composed by Zhao Puchu. The revision made in the first sentence of the couplet shows his great literature accomplishment and meticulous scholarship. The 80-year-old gentleman created this work in 1986. His calligraphy features well-balanced construction of characters and spacious composition, indicating a genre of embraciveness and elegance.
