From February to March 1986, the eighty-year-old gentleman undertook an inspection tour of Guangdong. During this time, he composed forty-one poems, collectively titled Miscellaneous Poems about the Visit to Guangdong. These poems were included in the book Verses by Zhao Puchu. The poems mounted in this scroll outnumber those in the published book. This scroll showcases Zhao's characteristic sinew writing, rendered with varied brushwork and graceful composure.
