In November 1956, Zhao Puchu attended the 4^th Conference of the World Fellowship of Buddhists in Kathmandu, Nepal. The conference aimed to advocate world peace via Buddhism. This unsigned manuscript scroll contains a series of poems from the book Collected Poems Composed During Visits to Korea and Nepal. The characters are of different sizes and are distributed appropriately across the page. They are rendered with light-hearted, relaxed brushwork, displaying an unaffected grace that betrays the artist's unrestrained ease in daily practice.
