Fan Chengda (1126-1193) is also known by his zi (designated name) Zhineng and hao (literary name) Shihu Jushi. A native of Wuxian (present-day Suzhou, Jiangsu province), he was a poet of the Southern Song dynasty and adept in calligraphy. This is his personal letter.
