This scroll, dated the 6^th year of Qiandao reign, was actually the new appointment for a Southern-song official named Wang Zuo. It was made out by Edict Section of the Song court according to the order of Ministry of Personnel. Running script is the official script used in the Southern Song dynasty. This work betrays the influences from various calligraphers of the time, including Emperor Huizong, and calligraphy masters such as Mi Fu and Cai Jing.
