Following the Song dynasty tradition, Japan embraced the art of flower arrangement using celadon Cong-shaped vases. These vases, known as "Kyozutsu", appear in the "Rikka Zukan", a flower arrangement manual dated 1554. The renowned tea ceremony record, "Matsuya Kaiki", further illustrates this practice, documenting the arrangement of narcissus in a celadon Cong-shaped vase. This vessel was most likely Longquan celadon, showcasing the enduring popularity of this form for floral displays in Japan.
