Fu Shan (1607-1684), originally named Dingchen, is also known by his zi (designated name) Qingzhu and hao (literary name) Zhenshan, native to Taiyuan, Shanxi province. He was a calligrapher, philosopher, and medical expert. After the Ming dynasty collapsed, he led a reclusive life and focused on studies, painting, and calligraphy. This scroll is a transcription of a poem by the Tang dynasty poet Du Fu.
