Description

On July 1, 1998, a delegation of the Japan-China Conference of Religious Friends visited Zhao Puchu, who was then hospitalized. Zhao composed this poem to express his gratitude for their visit and his hope to secure the friendship between China and Japan for the world peace. His calligraphy is manifested in exquisite brushwork, an unworldly genre, and upright character postures. Zhao wrote the poem at the age of ninety-two.
