Dear visitors,

Beginning September 1, individual visitors will not be required to make a reservation to enter the Shanghai Museum on People's Square. Please note the following information for your visit:

1. Opening Hours

9:00 am – 5:00 pm (last entry at 4:00 pm)

Closed every Monday (except public holidays)

2. How to Enter the Museum

1) Individual visitors may enter through the South Gate with a valid ID after security check.

2) Groups of 20 or more are required to reserve by phone at 021-63724550 at least 7 days in advance.

3) Priority access is available for visitors aged 65 and above, as well as visitors with disabilities. Please use the Priority Passage at the South Gate with a valid ID. Priority access does not apply to ticketed special exhibitions or other programs.

3. When Reservations Are Still Required

1) Reservations are required during peak periods, including national holidays, school vacations, and major special exhibitions. Reservations may be made up to 14 days in advance via our WeChat channel (上海博物馆) or our official website (www.shanghaimuseum.net).

2) Reservation policies for major exhibitions will be announced in advance on our website and social media channels.

4. Inside the Museum

1) For ticketed special exhibitions, tickets may be purchased online or onsite. Please refer to our website, social media channels, or Information Desk for details.

2) Visitor flow control may be implemented as needed to ensure a safe and comfortable experience.

5. Additional Notices

1) Waiting times for entry may occur during peak hours. Thank you for your patience.

2) The Museum may adjust its admission policy when necessary. Please follow us on social media for the latest updates.
