The Curio-City is located on 3F and 4F in the Shanghai Museum East with a total area of 1900 m². It is a space where you can explore with immersive and interactive displays and programs. We warmly welcome children and teenagers aged 6-18, and families with kids to play and learn with us.

With "career experience" as the guiding theme, our young visitors can experience archaeological excavation as a "Young Archaeologist", research and conservation of artifacts as a "Young Researcher" and "Young Conservator", organizing an exhibition as a "Young Docent", and participating in other creative programs as a "Young Designer". The six sections introduce the museum "behind-the-scene" and inspire our young visitors' passion and curiosity for museum. Meanwhile, against the backdrop of the splendid Chinese civilization, The Curio-City will guide the children and teenagers to explore the origins of ancient civilization, discover the wisdom in the making of artifacts, and cultivate their spiritual world.
