Guidelines:
For better visiting experience, please read the guidelines in advance:
- Opening Hours: 10:00-18:00 (last entry at 17:00), closed on Tuesdays (except national holidays).
- From September 15, individual visitors can enter the Museum with a valid ID through the B1 East Gate after security check. Reservation is not required.
- Groups of and over 20 need to make reservation by phone call (021-20729999 ext. 134) 7-14 days in advance. A valid reservation number, a list of group members, valid IDs, and an original introduction letter are required at the North Gate (1F) before security check.
- Priority access is available to visitors of and over 65 years old, and visitors with disabilities. Please enter through the North Gate (1F) with a valid ID or certificate. Priority access does not include ticketed special exhibitions, The Curio-City, and the Digital Gallery.
- Reservations are still required for The Curio-City and the Digital Gallery. Please book your visit through the Wechat account of the Museum.
- You can buy tickets for special exhibitions online or onsite. Please refer to our social media or Information Centre for details.
- The Roof Garden (5F) will be temporarily closed for bad weather. Visitor traffic control will be implemented in due course to avoid overcrowding inside galleries.
- Food & Drinks are served at Shop & Café (1F) and Café Staircase (2F to 3F). Please do not eat or drink in the galleries, corridors, halls, or shops.
- Any individuals or organizations organizing guided tours need to register for approval before starting the activities.
Please also pay attention: At peak hours, visitor traffic control will be implemented in due course. You may need to wait in line for entry. Thank you for your patience.
The Museum may adjust the admission policy when necessary. Please follow us on social media for updates.
Notice:
- Please do not touch the exhibits.
- Please do not run or shout inside the museum.
- The following individuals are not allowed to enter: (1) Those who are intoxicated; (2) Those who are improperly dressed; (3) Those without civil capacity and without a guardian accompanying them; (4) Those carrying pets.
- Do not promote products or distribute advertisements inside the museum.
- Do not use any type of water-based pens or soluble materials in the galleries
- Do not engage in behaviors that may disturb other visitors, including but not limited to setting up easels for copying or sketching in the galleries.
- Do not use flash, selfie sticks, or photography equipment like tripod inside the museum. For exhibitions held in cooperation with other museums and for collaboration shops within the museum, if there are copyright agreements that do not allow visitors to photograph exhibits, please pay attention to the warning signs and follow the instructions of the museum staff.
- Do not conduct personal live broadcasts or recordings inside the museum without permission.
- Do not engage in other behaviors that affect public safety and order.

These guidelines will be effective from February 2, 2024. For behaviors that violate the guidelines and disrupt the order of the visit, the Museum has the right to dissuade and stop such behaviors. If dissuasion and stopping are ineffective, the museum may refuse to provide services. For behaviors that constitute violations of public security management, they will be handed over to the public security authorities.
